Stone churches, buildings and bridges have were built hundreds of years ago and have stood the test of time. Through combining digital technology with traditional skills, the new Digital Stone Construction Sector offers a new alternative to sustainable, resilient and beautiful structures.
The talk will reveal pictures of a fascinating project in Tanzania and show how stone bridges are built. It will also set out ways digital technology is currently being adapted for reviving the sector for the 21st century.
This project forms part of the Wren300 Square Mile Churches programme which is being undertaken by the London Diocesan Fund and partly funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
