Overview

In development for Summer 2023, this free day of facilitated learning, hands-on activities and guided walks, will encourage pupils to discover the rich fabric of their city, comparing Roman times, with Wren’s rebuilding of London in the 17th century London, through to the modern city of today.

Children will take part in mapping workshops, explore historical concepts such as ‘continuity and change’, compare and contrast varied architectural styles, and develop new skills as they are inspired to get out and explore their city, and look up and learn.

In Participation with London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE.

This project forms part of the Wren300 Square Mile Churches programme which is being undertaken by the London Diocesan Fund and partly funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
