Primary Schools’ Programme: KS1: Wren, Rebuilding and The Great Fire of London
Overview
Book your free day of facilitated learning, storytelling, hands-on activities, interactive workshops and guided walks with experts, encouraging pupils to discover the rich fabric of their city and Wren’s part in the story of 17th century London.
Children will learn to explore historical concepts such as ‘significance’ and ‘continuity and change’, to compare and contrast varied architectural styles and develop new skills as they are inspired to get out and explore their city, and look up and learn.
This project forms part of the Wren300 Square Mile Churches programme which is being undertaken by the London Diocesan Fund and partly funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
